STUDIO207.TV
After eight years as an experimental traveling
European film festivals EU is changing direction. In 2003 Euro Underground
obtained a loft/gallery space in Chicago and will be concentrating
on exhibitions of film and video installations, loops and public
video/film exhibitions in the 1500 square foot open-air courtyard.
The departure from film festival into a gallery/exhibition
space enables Euro Underground to support experimental film/video
on a yearly basis, and also invite curators, programmers, film/video
collectives the opportunities to co-sponsor events and exhibitions
with Euro Underground and Studio 207.
Studio 207 is made up of
two spaces, available for a wide range of exhibition and opportunity’s.
The main gallery space is a 1500 square foot space right of the
courtyard. This space is designed for installations, visual art
and small screenings 40-60 people. The courtyard space is an open
air space in a garden setting perfect for video and film projection.
A third space is in development which would allow for up to 100-150
for screenings and performances.
Individual film/video makers are encouraged
to submit work. An application and a achieve of the last eight years
can be found at www.eurounderground.org If you are an installation
